Intermediate loop trail designed by outdoor center owner for optimum experience. Trail follows scenic Clinch River for one mile then leads to the ruins of an old 1787 French Settlement, then up and down very curvy, wooded descent. This trail is part of a newly designated combination backroad/trail system which courses 125 miles through beautiful forest, farm, river and mining country in an uncrowded environment. The trail is marked with numbered stations and self-guided by an informational brochure that highlights the local geological and pioneer history and identifies several species of trees.
